Rev Michael OBENG-MARNU is a theologian, Sociologist and a geographer. He is a prolific writer, known for daily devotion and inspiration books. With seven books published with Authorhouse Publishers (Reflections- 365 Days of Wisdom, Strength and Guidance; Sign Post; Making Your Life A Success; Sky’s the limit; Thriving in Adversity; The Chief: Ghana’s rich Asset and Heritage; and When the Queen-mother rises) his expertise lies in motivating people to make the best of life.
Every child matters to Rev Michael Obeng Marnu. They are important to society as they will grow up to be future leaders, family members, scientists, doctors and more. He believes that the experience they have early in life plays a crucial role in the development of the brain and a foundation for future learning. It is for this reason that he established Obeng Marnu Presbyterian Basic School at Kenyasi No.1 (1983) and Obeng Marnu Children Centre at Akyem Adukrom.
Michael OBENG-MARNU believes also that good books are essential for children ‘s development, fostering language skills, cognitive abilities and social emotional growth. Sure Start Books is his way of providing children access to good books to encourage reading at their early years to nurture their development and set them up for future success.
